IPEVO S0-20 WiFi Skype Phone

We had been using the GE 2-in-1 (Skype & Standard Phone) here at emu industries for quite some time now and have been fairly pleased with it, the only issue was that it needed to be connected to our computer via USB to work. We use Skype (SkypeIn & SkypeOut) for our office phone because of being able to make/receive calls while on the road via iPhone, laptop and now the IPEVO s0-20. I purchased the IPEVO s0-20 from Amazon and received it 2 days later. The IPEVO s0-20 is small (just over 4" in height) and very light - basically looks like an "old" cell phone.

Box Contents:
- s0-20 WiFi phone
- USB Wall Adapter
- Rechargeable Battery Pack
- Charging Cradle
- Single-Ear earplug/mic

Before setting up the phone, it needs to be charged for 3-6 hours; I chose to charge for the full 6 hours to make sure the battery gets the best initial charge. Setting up the phone is actually quite simple; just answer the questions on the phone after turning on. While setting up, the phone will automatically search for WiFi networks and then ask which one you would like to connect to, and then it can use all types of standard protection (from WEP to WPA2).

After the initial setup you will be asked to sign into your Skype account or create a new account. Once I signed into my account the phone took 2-3 minutes to update the contact list (this only happens during the initial set-up, every contact after that is instantaneous).

I could not notice any difference of quality between the Skype phone and my cell, a fact that I'm quite happy with. Using the phone is just like using a standard cell phone, enter the number/contact and press send. The only features that I would like added would be bluetooth and more ringtones, two things that aren't really important but would be the "icing-on-the-cake". Best of all is that now the computers no longer have to be on to make and/or receive calls.

UPDATE: The battery life is pretty horrible, I'm not able to leave the phone off the charger over night it will be dead by morning. I contacted IPEVO and they sent a new battery, but the new one is the same as the old. I guess I just need to keep charging it through out the day, and leave it on the cradle at night.
